Capricornia Tourism Wins Big in Queensland Tourism Awards

Member for Capricornia and Assistant Minister for Regional Tourism, Michelle Landry has congratulated tourism operators and event organisers in Capricornia on their well-earned wins at the Queensland Tourism Awards.

Ms Landry’s comments come after the Queensland Tourism Awards were held in Brisbane and Central Queensland operators and local governments won nine awards across multiple categories.

Ms Landry said the winners and all nominated tourism operators in Central Queensland have a great deal to be proud of.

“We all know Central Queensland is the best place to live, work and visit. With the sheer number of awards won, it’s been confirmed.

“Tourism operators and businesses have copped more than their fair share of hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was fantastic to see their achievements recognised and celebrated.

“This was a monumental achievement not just for tourism operators in Capricornia, but all operators in Queensland. Congratulations to everyone who won and were nominated, and I can’t wait to see what they will achieve in 2022,” Ms Landry said.
