Federal Member for Capricornia, Michelle Landry, is calling on local councils and community organisations to start preparing Expressions of Interest for the Growing Regions Program.
Round 2 of the Growing Regions Program will provide grants of between $500,000 and $15 million to support capital works projects for community and economic infrastructure.
Ms Landry is encouraging all eligible organisations and local governments to apply for their share of the $393 million available in this fund.
“When we invest in the regions, we invest in the long-term economic and social infrastructure for our communities well into the future.
“Investment into capital works in regional and rural communities allows priority projects to be taken off the drawing board and launch it into reality. Projects like the Alliance Heavy Maintenance Hangar, Keppel Bay Sailing Club upgrade, and Collinsville QCWA Hall have created jobs, stimulated growth, and delivered substantial economic benefits to Capricornia.
“I have a strong track record for delivering projects for Capricornia which has allowed local businesses, industries and families to get ahead,” Michelle Landry said.
Applications open for Expressions of Interest on Thursday, 5 September 2024 and will close on Thursday, 10 October 2024 at 5pm (AEST).
