Hardworking Federal Member for Capricornia Michelle Landry is all systems go following the Prime Minister Scott Morrison calling the federal election today.
Ms Landry said that she has a strong track record of delivering for Capricornia, an electorate she truly loves.
“Since 2013 I am proud to have delivered over $5.7 billion in infrastructure for Capricornia. This funding is building the roads and bridges that gets our loved one’s home every night, and the nation building infrastructure that will support jobs and the Australian economy for generations to come,” Ms Landry said.
“Some of my notable achievements includes delivering funding for Rockhampton Hospital Carpark, Rookwood Weir, Urannah Dam, the Walkerston Bypass, the Rockhampton Ring Road, the Rocky-Yeppoon Road and the Alliance Airlines Repair and Maintenance Facility.
Ms Landry said even though much has been achieved, she and the Federal Coalition Government will continue to work hard to keep cost of living down and deliver much needed infrastructure for the region.
“The Federal Coalition Government has taken practical measures now – by cutting fuel excise in half with Australians saving 22 cents a litre every time they fill up their car for the next six months,” Ms Landry said.
“This will help the owners of around 82,000 passenger vehicles in Capricornia which could mean a saving of $30 a week for a family with two cars, or $700 over the next six months.
“I will always put our region first and will continue to work hard to deliver for Capricornia backing our resources, agriculture, manufacturing, tourism and small businesses that make up Capricornia.
“Place your faith in me and I will keep delivering the jobs, services and the infrastructure Central Queensland needs.”
